Sales Manager – Environmental Commodity SaaS Solution

For a fast-growing start-up, we are looking for a motivated Territory Sales Manager to grow within a key position in the organization. The company has grown rapidly over the past year, which resulted in a close-knit team and an ambitious work atmosphere in which you are challenged to show initiative and exceed commercial objectives. The client is a unique start-up that provides large and medium-sized organizations with an innovative and disruptive SaaS solution in the field of renewable energy certificates trading and settlement. The solution originates from a collaboration of strong players in the energy market and contains of a new and pioneering software platform that strives to facilitate global trade of environmental products and help clients access environmental and sustainability markets to achieve their objectives through products such as carbon offsets and environmental certificates. This allows their clients to significantly lower manual efforts in managing transactions in these rapidly expanding markets.

De functie

The company spent almost 1 year building and optimizing the platform, but now time has come to build a strong sales team that knows how to enter the market and create the right proposition. You will be at the foundation of building the company culture and go-to market strategy of the sales department. Furthermore, you will work with a large database of warm leads and will take responsibility of creating a roadmap in order to realize the first steps of the Sales strategy. We are looking for a certain seniority, because you will receive a lot of freedom within the role and you will have to be able to deal with this accordingly. You will report directly to the Managing Director. 
As Regional Sales Manager you know how to apply your consultative selling skills to ultimately convince customers and close the deal. It is quite a versatile role in which you are responsible for providing a fitting advice, show demos, project management throughout the whole sales procedure and of course the sale of a value adding solution. You qualify warm leads and act as a partner for both the customer and internal stakeholders. In order to find the right solutions, you dive into the world of your customer by executing market research. When you have brought in a new client, you are in the lead throughout the whole process, until closing the deal and of course the aftersales. Last but not least, maintaining the relationship with the client and internal colleagues are of great importance. Plus, the growth objectives within the organization are ambitious and you can grow along with them from the moment you enter the position.

Dit wordt er van jou gevraagd

  • Higher professional education (HBO) 
  • Minimum of 5 years commercial experience 
  • Experience and affinity with SAAS solutions 
  • Independent, driven and a solution-oriented attitude 
  • Living in or around Amsterdam 
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English.
