For an international client, specialized in the gardening tools, we are looking for an ambitious Salesmanager.
The company was established about 20 years ago and is owned by a family who wanted to implement their skills in manufacturing and design combined with their love for gardening. They offer premier planters, self-watering solutions, sprayers and other accessories distinguished by refined design and innovation. Their main headquarters is located in the US, but they also have a warehouse in Rotterdam for all the distribution within Europe.
The client sells directly to wholesalers, but also to retailers (e.g. garden centers) and landscape designers. Throughout Europe the company is represented by agents who are passionate, professional and always in the customer’s corner. Because of their expansion within the European market and their ambitious growth objectives they would like to hire an experienced Salesmanager.
They’re looking for someone who is able to start building and lead a strong team of independent sales agents. Next to being fully responsible for managing the team of sales agents within Europe, you will be in charge of the relationship management for a few major key-accounts. Furthermore, you will work with the agents in the field and you will get full guidance from the team of directors in Miami in the process of identifying the sales strategy, interesting prospects and the competitor landscape within Europe. Representing the company on trade-shows and events is also part of the job. All in all, using your strategic vision and tools like profitability measurements you will be able to contribute to their growth as a leading brand within the business.
The organization is fully invested within the European market and will provide you with all the tools, budgets and guidance to make sure you will be able to run the whole operation successfully. Meetings will be held regularly and there will be a constant communication between you and the US HQ. Next to that there will be an intensive on-boarding program and clear strategic objectives will be set to make sure you will be up-and-running as soon as possible.
Are you a hands-on Salesmanager, who likes to travel often? Are you willing to work remotely and do you speak both English and German (preferably French too)? * 5+ years of experience in Sales management, preferably within the industry of FMCG
* Experience in building and managing an international team
* Fluent English is a must. Fluent in German or French is an advantage.
